Our Return to UFL Saturdays

Our Return to UFL Saturdays

We arrived at the University of Makati around the 20th minute of the first half. It was Kaya FC versus Philippine Air Force. To our right were some of the guys from Loyola Meralco Sparks and to our left,  Green Archers United Globe.

It all seemed very… familiar.

That’s when it hit us: the last time we were live at a UFL game was during the opening ceremonies in January, with this exact lineup.

The first game ended with Kaya defeating Air Force 3-1. We caught just the start of the second match, and left in an attempt to watch the Volcanoes play Sri Lanka at Rizal Memorial Stadium. That plan was a bit of a fail (we ended up at the mall instead), but we were glad to learn that Loyola won 3-2, and the Volcanoes won 28-18.

Overall, it was another progressive day in Philippine sports.

Even better, the UFL just announced its partnership with Megaworld to develop a pitch in McKinley Hill! Keep up to date by checking out the official UFL website, Liking them on Facebook, and following them on Twitter @UFLphilippines.
