Azkals Vs. Sri Lanka Diary (Entry One)

Game day. Less than four hours till kick-off. I was fortunate to have been assigned by The ProPinoy Project to do a photo essay for Sunday’s match but we didn’t get to apply for PFF accreditation. Kind of bummed we won’t get to shoot photos in the usual quality we’ve been able to bring you all, but we’ll do our best nonetheless!

Also, to make up for that little glitch, good friend and commentator Bob Guerrero offered to shoot during the Azkals’ training session at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo Sri Lanka yesterday. And he gave us shared rights to the photos! We gave you a bit of a teaser on our Facebook page earlier.

@abscbnsports on Twitter reports that the Azkals starting lineup later will be Neil Etheridge, Anton Del Rosario, Rob Gier, Aly Borromeo, Paul Mulders, Stephan Schrock, Manuel Ott, Chieffy Caligdong, James Younghusband, Phil Younghusband, and Angel Guirado.

There are also lots of predictions for tonight’s results: 2-1 in favor of the Azkals. WE BELIEVE!!!
